Adam C. Soloff, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the department of cardiothoracic surgery, Hillmann Cancer Center, at university of Pittsburgh. He completed his Ph.D. from University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health in 2008 followed by Post-doctoral Fellowships in the department of Immunology at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Dr. Soloff joined the University of Pittsburgh as an Assistant Professor in the department of cardiothoracic surgery in 2018. He was previously an Assistant Professor in the department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Soloff has served in many important roles over the years such as Public Policy Fellow for the The American Association of Immunologists, member of the Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy Program as well as member of the Women’s Initiatives Taskforce at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. In his many roles, he has striven to push the field of Immunology forward.

In recognition of Dr. Soloff's many accomplishments, he has received many awards over his career including R13 travel grants from the National Institute of Health, Jon Shevell Young Scientist Travel Scholarship, Big Data Travel Scholarship from the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and more recently, being awarded for the Best Poster at the International Thoracic Surgical Oncology Summit of the American Association of Thoracic Surgery.

In addition to authoring numerous high-impact research articles and being invited to present nationally and internationally, Dr. Soloff is a reviewer for many prestigious journals such as World Journal of Surgical Oncology, Angiogenesis, Scientific Reports (Nature) Journal of Immunology, etc. He is intricately involved with mentoring and teaching of high school students, medical students, residents, and postdoctoral fellows, with many of his mentees going on to achieve academic excellence.  

Dr. Soloff is funded by several national agencies and foundations such as the National Institute of Health, Veteran’s Health Administration, US Department of Defense, Thoracic Surgery Foundation, etc.
