Dr. Luciana da Fonseca Da Silva is an internationally recognized expert in performing the Cone procedure for Ebstein's Anomaly in both children and adults.  She was trained in her native Brazil at Beneficencia Portuguesa Hospital of Sao Paulo. Together with her surgical partner, and co-faculty member Dr. Jose Da Silva, they direct the world's premier center for treatment of Ebstein's Anomaly, attracting patients from around the United States, South America, Asia and Europe for care in Pittsburgh.  Dr. Da Fonseca Da Silva is passionate about mentoring the next generation of cardiothoracic surgeons and believes that continued education, innovation, and research are critical to improve outcomes, create consistency and inspire young surgeons. Dr. Da Fonseca Da Silva is a team member committed to ensuring equal opportunities for the next generation, and serves as Co-Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for our ACGME-accredited Congenital Cardiac Surgery Fellowship.
