Dr. Levesque is an alumna of the UPMC Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Levesque is dedicated to teaching both residents and medical students. Upon her recruitment to join the faculty, she has developed a robust and novel cardiothoracic surgery curriculum for both general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery trainees including thoracentesis, lung transplant anastomoses, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and complex robotic-assisted thoracic surgery.  Dr. Levesque sees patients at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and UPMC Outpatient Centers at St. Margaret and Natrona Heights.  She also sees patients at the Oakland campus of the Veteran's Affairs Hospital of Pittsburgh, where she was named Chief of Thoracic Surgery in 2023.  Dr. Levesque is board certified through both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

Research Interests

Dr. Levesque's research interests include benign and malignant thoracic disease, special populations including veterans, and the impact of surgical simulation in cardiothoracic surgery training and education.
